It was at around 3 o'clock in the morning, Mr. Enfield was going home when he saw a girl running down a cross street and a man heading eastward.
Out of nowhere, the man and the girl collided with each other. Instead of helping her though, the man trampled over her as she screamed in pain. People nearby were angered as they watched the man walk away as if he did nothing wrong.
Hey what's wrong with you! Get off of her!
Dr. Enfield then took the man by the collar and everyone threatened, to ruin his reputation if he didn't compensate the girl's family.
We will ruin your reputation!
We demand compensation for the family!
"If you choose to make money out of this incident, I am naturally helpless. Name your price."
Hyde then enters the building and retrieves a check for compensation. The check, however, had Dr. Jekyll's signature, and Mr. Enfield was suspicious of it. Because of this, Mr. Enfield, and Hyde decided to go cash the check the next day.
"I will come with you tomorrow to cash in the check tomorrow."
We will see tomorrow if this is valid.
This signature looks forged!
When cashing in the check, Enfield came to the realization that the check wasn't a fake. But, he believes that Dr. Jekyll was blackmailed to give Hyde the check.
The check was approved.
