- 'Julley! The bus driver asked me to give this to you
- 'Julley, Abdul,' 'I have never been to school. The path to school is uneven and pebbly and my wheelchair will get stuck .It will be difficult for my parents to carry me to school and back every day.'
- 'My name is Abdul'I study in Class 6 at the government school. I often wondered why you do you not come to school ?
- Of course yes. I want to study like everyone else, make friends, play games ,wear uniform and even write exams .
- 'But would you like to come to school ?'
- 'Enough! Enough!' Stop dreaming Chuskit .You know you cannot go to school.'
- Ten year old Chuskit longed to go to school, butshe could not as she was unable to walk.
- Yes Azhang-ley .She uses a wheel chair to move around but cannot reach school as the path from her home is to rough and uneven. I was wondering if we could all get together level the path and build a small bridge across the stream
- Jully Azhang-ley, I am here to talk about Chuskit, a girl from our village who does not go to school.
- Oh Yes I know her. She is unable to walk isn't she?
- Headmaster's room
- One day, a young boy came to her house to meet her grandfather.
- That's very thoughtful of you. What made you think of Chuskit and her problems?
- 'Azhang-ley, last week we read about the fundamental rights of citizens in our civics class. All children have a right to education. That includes Chuskit as well, doesn't it ?
- Headmaster's room
- Abdul noticed Chuskit in the wheelchair and asked why she did not go to school.
- That's exactly what we must work out. I hear that in the village of Mentok Yul, The Village Committee has helped build a special toilet for one of their children you cannot walk. We could ask them what they have done. But first we must get Chuskit to school. Then we could think of ways of helping her do things in school
- Headmaster's room
- 'Impossible!' How will Chuskit be able to write, play and go to the toilet like the other children do ?'
- I am finally going to school
- Abdul asked Chuskit if she is willing to go to school but her grandfather wanted to end the conversation as to not give Chuskit false hopes.
- The Next day Abdul went straight to the headmaster's room after the assembly to discuss about Chuskit.
- The Headmaster asked Abdul how he became so considerate and gave him a pat on his back approving his idea.
- 'Yes, you are right, Abdul Let me discuss this with the other teachers,'
- The Next day the headmaster shared Abdul's ideas with all the teachers and asked them what they felt
- Chuskit's dream has come true and she is going to school!
