"Believe me on my honor, and respect that honor so that you will believe me."
Brutus's speech-Pathos
"Would you prefer that Caesar was alive and you all die as slaves, or that Caesar were dead and you live as free men?"
Brutus's speech-Logos
"If that friend then demands why I rose up against Caesar, this is my answer: it is not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more."
Honor was taken very seriously in Roman times. So to call on it and swear on it was a really good way of getting people to believe you.
Antony's speech-Ethos
"Caesar was my friend, faithful and just to me."
Brutus is really trying to drive home the message that he had to do what he did for the sake of all. That if he didn't they all would suffer under the tyranny of Caesar. So he asks them this question to nail it in that they can now live free.
Antony's speech-Pathos
"You all loved Caesar once, and with good cause. What reason then is holding you back from mourning him?"
The way Brutus goes about saying this phrase creates the message of a man who is willing to do anything for his country/people. That he'd would put aside his affiliation with Caesar and focus on what needs to be done.
Antony's speech-Logos
"He brought many captives home to Rome whose ransoms enriched uas all."
The people of Rome knew that Antony was close to Caesar, so when Antony tells them this, he is trying to get familiarity on his side. To let the people see someone they can trust and know what he is saying is true.
Antony is showing them how easily they were swayed. Since not to long ago they were praising him, now they question his motives. He is trying to bring them back to their senses of what they truly believe, that they love Caesar.
To sway them Antony tells them of all the good things that Caesar did for his people. In particular the one where he brought back captives ransomed them for a lot and the people of this area were rich. He is trying to remind the people of the good times, and how good of a person Caesar was.
