First let us know Projectile Motion . It is type of motion wherein an object is thrown in the air, and moves a curved path under gravity alone.I will show you  some example of it.

Archery is one of the best example of Projectile Motion. Because an arrow begins it flight at an upward angle, peaks at some point, then arches downwards until it hits the target.

The Vertical Motion and Horizontal Motion. Don't worry I will teach about it.
And did you know that Projectile Motion has two components?
While the Horizontal Motion is defined as a projectile motion in a horizontal plane upon the force acting on it. For a short distance, the vertical and horizontal motion are perpendicular and independent to each other.
First is Vertical Motion, Vertical Motion is referred as the movement of the object against the gravitational pull. It is the motion that is perpendicular to the straight or flat surface.
