Romulus and Remus are twin brothers. They are the sons of Rhea Silvia and The God Mars. Their evil Great Uncle named Amulius found out Rhea Silvia got pregnant with the twins and he sent the twins down the Tiber River. The original ruler was Numitor, he is the Grandfather of the twins and father of Rhea Silvia.

The she-wolf found the babies floating down the river so she took them. She fed the two babies milk and protected them from from danger. A group of shepherds found the she-wolf and babies. One of the shepherds named Faustulus took the babies home and to his wife Larentia. Faustulus and Larentia raised the twins to be shepherds.They took stolen items away from robbers and gave the items to the local shepherds.

The robbers Romulus and Remus tried stopping attacked them and they took Remus to the king. The twins' true identities were reveled and they killed king Amulius. The crown was given back to Numitor (the twins grandfather) and the boys stood next in line to inherit Alba Longa when King Numitor died.
