- 2.) But before we begin, I've asked few people to provide their perspectives and knowledge on how the world/life began. They may affect your stance in the upcoming debate, so listen to what they've got to say.
- TOPIC:How did the world/life existed?
- 1.) Good day class! Our activity for today would be a debate regarding how and where the world/life originated/begun.
- 4.) Good day, everyone! I am Aristotle, a Greek Philosopher and Scientist. Just like Empedocles, I believe that the world originated from the four elements.
- 3.) I am Empedocles, a greek physicist and philosopher who is best known for my Theory of Four elements namely; Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. I believe that everything in existence is made of different combinations of these, and organisms undergo changes through time.
- 6.) Many of you may be wondering, how did the world/life started?. Well, I believe that a number of various sorts of life spontaneously emerged near to a central point.
- 5.) Hello, students! Like these two men beside me, I am a philosopher, mathematician, cosmologist, and encyclopedist. Call me Georges Louis-Buffon.
- 7.) For example, different organisms, such as animals came from a single ancestral animal, and they use their limbs differently but with the similar bone structure.

- 9.) Well if yes, I am his grandfather, Erasmus Darwin. I am a philosopher, physician, and naturalist. I believe that all organisms share a common ancestor. Do you agree that all of us came from monekeys?

- 11.) Hello! I am Jean Baptiste Lamarck, a French naturalist, biologist, scholar, and soldier.
- 13.) Unlike Darwin, I believe that living things evolved in a continuously upward direction, from dead matter, through simple to more complex forms, toward human perfection.

- 17.) Although each of them holds various theories and beliefs, they are all linked to one thing, evolution. They may have differences but all of which are significant for learning. It is just entirely up to you what to believe and not to.

- 10.) If you were to ask me, then my answer would be yes. Every organism that is living were originally derived from the smallest microscopic one which gradually evolve through time.

- 12.) The basis of my theory is the widely accepted theory of inheritance; during my time is the driving force to develop new organs, or modify,existing organ, on the other hand, disuse leads to degeneration of organs. species could not become extinct, it simply evolves into different species.
- 14.) Characters acquired by organisms are inherited to the next generation, and in every generation, new characters are added and the species gets modified to a new one.
