This illustrates the famine during the French Revolution. Food prices increased and most of the population became poor due to harsh winters that led to damage to farmland. Because of food prices increasing, bread riots were fought in Paris.

On Jan 21 1793 King Louis XVI was excecuted by guillotine for conspiring with other countries or treason. His excecution was to establish justice, liverty, and equality during the French Rev. His wife, Queen Marie Antoinette was then executed on Oct 1793 for treason. She was known for her lavish lifestyle and spending habits during desperate times.
