- Oh, hi! I didn't see you there. My name is Olivia, and this is my best friend, Emma.
- We've been best friends since we were practically babies, and we've been inseparable ever since.
- Emma has always had a lot of trouble learning, and she hates school, but she is an amazing artist and athlete.
- The funny thing is, I'm completely different! I've always found learning as fun as anything. I love making food, and I play the piano, guitar, violin, and trumpet.
- WAAHHH!
- Anyway, on the first day of summer, Emma would be leaving for Johnson's Arts and Athletics Summer Camp. She would be away for two weeks, and we knew this day was coming, but when the bus pulled onto our street, we couldn't handle it.
- I'M GONNA MISS YOU SO MUCH!
- While I was awaiting Emma's return, little did I know that two weeks would change her completely. I almost thought she was just pulling a joke on me, but then I found out that my Emma was actually gone.
- OMG, hi, umm.....Olivia!
- Emma? What...
- Then I realized that those girls that she met at camp, Cameron and Kate, are the reason that Emma isn't Emma anymore.
- Hahaha!
- Ugh. I just really don't want to talk to Emma right now.
- I'm fine.
- Obviously, I'm not fine, but whatever.
- Hey, Olivia! Are you, um... doing okay?
- Honey, it's not healthy to keep those feelings to yourself. You have to tell Emma the truth.
- You're right. I should tell her the truth.
- Listen up, Emma! You've been hanging out with those punk girls and it's like I don't even exist anymore!
- I HATE YOU! SHUT UP!
- Olivia, I didn't realize...
- Olivia Charlotte Jackson. Ms. Amelia called me today. Emma's really upset and kind of confused. When I said tell her the truth , I wanted you to be polite about it!
- Not my fault! You gotta be more specific!
- Olly, I'm not trying to punish you. I'm trying to help you.
- You just have to respectfully communicate what you want to Emma.
- Assertive....
- But Emma doesn't like me anymore. Cameron and Kate have changed her.
- Hey, Emma. Um..
- I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry for the way I've been acting. I've been avoiding you, or lying to you, or ignoring you, or yelling at you. And I shouldn't have been doing that. I just would like to hang out with you more.
- Oh, Olivia. I'm really sorry about Cameron and Kate. To be honest, they were always really just okay, but you have always been the best friend ever.
- Oh. Hello, Olivia.
- Friends again?
