- After you have identified the a , b , and c you got the substitute it into discriminant Formula.
- So basically to put it in standard form, everything on the right side you got to move to the left side.The x2 always goes first because the highest exponet. Next is 4x and last is 30.

- ohh yeah from here I know now, I just needed someone to help me in the first part. Yeah so after I identify the a,b, and c I got to put it in the discriminant formula and if the answer is smaller then 0 there is no solution, and if its equal to there is only 1 solution and last when the answer is bigger then 0 there is 2 solutions
- yess, and after you get your solutions, now you got to substitute the a, b , and c into the quadratic formula only if you get 1 or 2 solutions. But yeah after you do that youre suppose to simplify it inside the square root but its already in the discriminant so you skip that part. Just put the answer and simplify everything.
- Yes, for the solutions I got x=3 and x=-5 and when we graph it, the graph will intersect the x-axis at x=3 and x=-5 right Rosie ?
- gotchu, I really needed some help. Now i understand this type of math perfectly fine.
- yessir, and then when you graph it you'll see it intersects at x=3 and x=-5 and if it doesnt intersect you probably did a step wrong
- and after you put the answer and simplify everything and substitute the a, b, and c we got split up the + - to get the two solutions of the problem.
