- Thale: Honestly guys I am starting to think I might not have free will at all. Last night I told myself I was going to study for the philosophy test but somehow I still ended up scrolling on TikTok for two hours without even realizing how fast time disappeared. It is like my brain made the decision before I even noticed what I was doing.
- Zack: I do not think that is a lack of free will. You made a choice in that moment. Libertarian free will says that we have the power to make genuine decisions that are not controlled by anything else. You chose TikTok because you wanted to. That is what real freedom is.

- Michael: I disagree completely. What happened to Thale is a perfect example of logical determinism. Every event has a cause behind it. Your so called choice was shaped by your habits your personality and everything that happened before that moment. You only felt like you chose freely.

- Zack: I can prove I have free will right now. I am choosing to put my hand out for no reason at all. That is my choice and nothing forced me to do it.
- Michael: That reaction is exactly what determinism predicts. You raised your hand because I challenged your belief and you usually react fast when you feel like someone doubts you. Your personality pushed you toward that response. It only felt like a free choice but the cause was already there.
- Thale: That actually makes sense. Zack always reacts like that when someone questions him. The situation made the outcome pretty predictable.
