- This was the day that I was offered to go to Daabab and help the refugees there.Sure I've been to other places but I knew that this was probably was one of the worst. I'm going to try my best to help these kids.

- I'm here in Dadaab. It looks like your average refugee camp. I'm here to go to the school and check up on the kids. The kid's teacher's name is Micheal. He too is also a refugee. I have a feeling that he made an impression on those kids. The one thing that interested me about this school is this boy's name, Omar. Micheal said that he's an orphan and cares for his brother that has seizures. He also told me that his brother can't say any words besides"Hooyo". The fact that he'd go to school amazes me. Micheal told me that Omar wanted to be a social worker just like me. I want to help him achieve this dream. This is probably one of my biggest goals right now.
- You are all strong,Resilient children, and I see so much potential in this room. I hope you'll keep up with your studies. If you have any problems-at home, at at school-you can always talk to a UN officer. We are here to help.
- When I was talking I could tell that the kids some of the kids were talking. They could be talking about anything but I knew exactly what they saying. "Why is this white women here?"
- After I gave that little speech at the school I talked to Omar. I talked about his family situation and how he wants to be a Social worker. I also told him that he can rely on me whenever he needs help. I could tell that he was going to make an impact on the world. He could help these refugees if he had better access. I couldn't help but think about his little brother. It might be a guess but I could tell that he had some type of talent. Those boys deserve a better life than just being in a refuge camp. Because of that, I will try my hardest to help them.
- Omar wants to be a social worker just like us. He seems kind and sweet. I feel like he would make an awesome worker.
- He seems like a great kid. Maybe you can sweet talk them into giving the him and brother an interview!
