This is the land that you need to administrate. At the end of the month, you need to give me the taxes of the knights.

The nobles are in charge of the lands that the king gives them. They need to divide that lands into manors, which are given to their knights.
Here, you need to protect the peasants and the serf. You need to pay taxes along the month.
We(the knights) are in charge of the manors that the nobles have given us. We also need to pay taxes. I hate that part.

This are my soldiers. We are going to protect you, but, you need to work hard in farming this lands.
The peasants have to farm the manors of the knights. The knights will protect them if they do that. They worked really hard, but they are free people, that means they can go to other manors if they want to. A comparison with the serfs, they can’t go to other manors. Is they were born in a manor, they stay there, they farm in that land, and they can’t go to another manor.
The peasants were the farmers of that time. They were allow to farm the manors of the knights, that way, the knights will protect them from outside dangers. They need to pay taxes too.

The king governs a whole country, but that is a lot for themselves, that is why they give lands to the nobles(like near friends).
