- Coach
- JR! Is your training in Manila done? The Republic of the PH just emailed me saying they are scouting you to represent our country in Thailand for a tournament. I'm so proud of you.
- Thailand, here comes JR
- You've come a long way, JR. It's time to shine, show them what you've got.
- Thank you, Coach. This is all for all of you.
- It's every athlete's dream to be able to represent their country. Never did 17-year-old JR think that he would accomplish this dream at such young age.
- DAY 1: Preparation
- I hope JR won't get nervous. How is he doing right now huh?
- But, all this wouldn't be happening without his hard work, dedication, passion and perseverance. Everything started when he was just 7-year-old.
- Doubt creeps in
- Am I really worthy of all this? Can I do this? What if I fail?
- JR just transferred to his new school in the city when his adviser introduced him to Coach Kim. Since then, JR set his goal to be part of the Philippine Team.
- Faith
- One day after training, exactly 2,789 days since he first step on his comfort zone, Coach Kim messaged him revealing the most fulfilling news of JR's life.
- God's Plan
- The moment JR saw his coach typing his name with an exclamation point, he knew something good is happening. For more than half of his life, JR has been fighting for this position and he felt like he was in cloud9!
- Going back to the present time, they have now landed in Thailand and JR is already on game mode. We wish our Pinoy athlete all the best !
- Coach Kim knew that even with JR's strength, he would always get nervous when a competition came up and even when they were just a room away from each other, Coach Kim also knew that JR could manage.
- Normally every athlete would feel this way, wether it be a game inside or outside a country. However JR had this one inspiration more powerful than anything else.
- JR remembered that one time the priest came up to him after a mass and turned out Father was actually his supporter. Father was a retired badminton player also and the only thing he wanted JR to carry through his journey is that "God has a plan."
