- Alive But Lost
- "I suppose we're luck to be alive. Except I don't feel very lucky"
- "It is getting dark and I am scared. I don't know what to do."

- "Half an hour it started to rain, and now all my 'signals' are hanging straight down. Useless. Like this place."

- Desperation
- "Again I saw the crocodile... I tossed it some fish... it snapped them up. A good omen? I hope so.
- Following a plane crash deep in a forest, Jimmy's dad is drifting in and out of consciousness. Jimmy has no major physical injuries but he feels scared and hopeless. He does not know where he is or what he should do.
- Hope and a will to Survive
- Jimmy's dad is awake but still very unwell. He asks Jimmy to do what he fears most - to apply first aid on his injured leg. Jimmy uses some of the left over bandages to tie onto some branches to get alert a passing plane. He has little faith that they will be seen as there is a think canopy above them. He is still feeling useless and unsure of what to do.
- Rescused; Alive and Changed
- It was day 3 and 4 when Jimmy reached his lowest point. At first he had a glimmer of hope as he heard a plane flying overhead but as Jimmy tried to be seen by wading out into the river, the sound of a crocodile made him turn back. The plane flew past. Jimmy's dad was also getting worse and Jimmy continued to feel helpless and started to feel angry
- "The plane was our best chance. Maybe our only chance and we missed it."
- Jimmy changes so much in the next few days. He decides that he needed to fight to keep both his dad and himself alive. His dad starts to look better as well. They decide that they need to try and get out of the forest as help is probably not coming. He has become more comfortable and aware of his surroundings and his situation. He starts to feel more hopeful and believes they may have a chance of getting out alive.
- While sleeping, their fire collapses which causes lots of smoke. As they were getting ready to leave, they hear a helicopter in the distance coming closer. They are saved! Jimmy realised through his experience in the forest that, sometimes in life you have to keep looking for the answers and not give up.
- "A secret, often frightening place that keeps itself hidden. The kind of place you really have to search for."
