- Genry and Threta arrive to Earth. This is Day 1 of fieldwork in an area called the "South Pacific."
- Wow! What is this mysterious life form? It's so magestic!

- What's that on that island across the way?!

- Actually, the humans' relationships with plants can tell us a lot about these humans and their culture. We call that "paleoethnobotany." It's a tool used in environmental archaeology.

- The death of plants shows us the tense relationship that these humans have with the Earth...and perhaps with themselves...

- This is a creature that we call plants. Threta, let me tell you. These are mystical beings. This form of life is magnificent, powerful, the dominant inhabitant of this Earth.
- They are the primary actors in the drama we call "Earth."
- Those are some other creatures that inhabit this Earth. We call them "humans."
