  • Samurai are disciplined warriors of Japan. Samurai are trained in the Bushido code which means, "way of the warrior". This code focuses on honor, loyalty, and self-discipline. They wear light armour to help them move easier but it doesn't offer too much protection. They are skilled in different ways of combat(archery, hand-to-hand, and swordsmanship) which helped them to adapt to any fighting circumstance they were in. Samurai know more than just how to fight, they know how to read and write so they wouldn't be taken advantage of.

  • Japanese Feudalism: At the top(very left) of the pyramid was the emperor. The emperor was the highest class and a religious leader, however, they didn't hold any actual power. The shogun and the Daimyo were next. The shogun held the actual power in Japan and was chief military advisor. The Daimyo were rich landowners and wore expensive clothing. Underneath the Daimyo and Shogun were the Samurai. The Samurai were disciplined warriors that protected Japan and both men and women could be Samurai although women did not take part in wars. During wars, Samurai women would stay in Japan to protect their homes and family in case of invasion. The peasants and artisans were the largest class in the pyramid. The very last class are merchants because they couldn't produce/make anything on their own.
