- George Washington was appointed to be the general of the Continental Army by the colonists What was the outcome: George Washington would later lead the colonists to victory with his great leadership.George Washington had great leadership skills and was very charismatic which was one of the main reasons why the colonists won the war.
- The Colonists and British fought and the British had won the battle.the battle proved that the Colonies and Britain could not simply make amends and that ties would be severed.It made the colonists sure that they were not doing an impossible task.

- France enters war on America’s side- May 1778
- Surrender at Yorktown- Oct 19, 1781
- Representatives of both France and America signed two treaties, those treaties being the Treaty of Alliance and the Treaty of Amity and Commerce. America and France became allies and France had joined America’s side in the Revolutionary war. Without the French it would have been impossible to win the war without their forces, money, and support.
