the Monsters are due on Maple Street theme: Man kind is its own enemy
In he monsters are due on maplestreet by Rod serling , one of the is mankind is its own enemy because Les goodman ,a longterm neighbor was being accused of being something from another planet when his car had started on its own. A woman on the street said she had seen him looking up at the sky late at night as if her were waiting for something which fed the crowds a rumor. Then i think the theme is 'mankind is its own enemy when they begin to accuse Steve next for having a radio no one has seen in person. After this claim the crowd switched their attention from Les Goodman to Steve almost instantly, when steve stood his ground the crowd began to suspect him even more. Lastly i think the theme is 'mankind is its own enemy' because panic starts to set into maplestreet when they see a shadowy figure, Charlie ends up shooting the figure which ends up to be another neighbor named Peter Van Horn. After Peter was shot the neighbors and crowd began to create a riot between themselfs. In conclusion the people of maplestreet had acted too quicky and jumped to conclusions against themselfs which ended to the death of a neighbor.
