Once upon a time there was a special spider who lived in a barn. The farm animals knew her as the spinning spider.
She loved to spin webs with her silky thread. Her webs were large, thin, and sparkly.
She spends most of her days spinning and weaving from place to place, and filling up open spaces in the barn.
The farm animals did not understand why she spent her days spinning. They got together one day and decided to ask the spider why she spent her days spinning and weaving from place to place.
Neigh! Neigh! said the horse. "Why do you spin and spin"? The spider did not answer.
Moo! Moo! said the cow. "Why do spin and spin"? The spider did not answer.
Oink! Oink! grunted the pig. "Why do you spin and spin"? The spider did not answer.
Maa! Maa! said the goat. "Why do you spin and spin"? The spider did not answer.
Cluck! Cluck! said the chicken. "Why do you spin and spin"? The spider did not answer.
Quack! Quack! called the duck. "Why do you spin and spin"? The spider did not answer.
The farm animals all thought the spider was too busy to answer them, so the farm animals all decided to march in together to get the spider's attention.
When all the farm animals got in the barn, to their amazement the sparkly spider web had trapped two insects. "Wow" gasped all the farm animals.
