- Phew that was close. Thankfully I was able to switch clothes and use the alcohol to get rid of my scent.
- In this part of the book Beatty, and the other fireman, go and make Montag set his own house on fire for having books. Beatty then exclaims that he tried to warn Montag with the Mechanical Dog.
- In this portion of the book, Montag tries to get to the river before the helicopters and Mechanical Hound so that he can change and hop in the river. He ends up messing up his scent so much that the Hound goes in the complete opposite way. His plan has worked.
- When Montag gets past the forest and finally far away from the helicopters and Hound, he meets a group of guys by the train tracks lead by a guy named Granger. Granger and his friends are a part of thousands of people who remember books word for word so that they will never be caught with books.
- Hey. I'm Granger and me and my friends don't have books but we recite them so that we can never be caught with them.
- At the end of the book, Montag and Granger tryo to walk back to the desolated city after the war is presumably over. Montag starts to walk in front of the group and Granger just tells him to keep going.
- Jeez the bombs from the war really destroyed this city.
