Overthrow of King Charles
King Charles I was very unpopular because he believed in the Divine right of kings and when power was limited, refused. The parliament and many others did not agree with what. As an effect a civil war went on between the Cavaliers and roundheads.In the end the parliament won and Charles was exicute.
Stuart Monarchy
In 1642 The Royalist/Cavaliers and the roundheads. In the end the roundheads were victorious. This war started because the Supporters of the king and the roundheads disagreed on who should be in charge.
The Glorious Revolution
King Charles was overthrown by the Rump Parliament. With their new army they quickly took control.They soon after had him exicuted on January 30,1649.
English Bill Of Rights
After King Charles I was executed Charles II inhereted the throne abd it was passed to King James II. Like before there was conflict with the King and parliament because the King was catholic and supported catholics in society. The parliament rebeled, and his son would later take the throne.
The Glorious Revolution was A Bloodless Battle that lasted from 1688-1689. King James II and Mary the II and her husband William were the leaders of the battle.
The english bill of rights was a bill signed to take away complete and total power from the king( James II). THe monarch was forced to give up some of his power. Because of this the king could not completely rule without the pariament.
