- My fathers surgery went ok.
- Open heart surgery? Ok prayers.
- Yes. Looks like our prayers worked.
- Marji was worrisome of realizing the open heart surgery her loved one must undergo, as well as the trauma of war, causing her to be anxious and sad.
- My brother and I, along with my family had traveled to a hospital outside the state to visit our father after his surgery for his lungs. We are relieved and happy that everything went well.

- Mom I got into Ivy Tech Community College!
- Marji was happy after she was accepted into a college along with Reza. It is significant because to my life because I remember when I had first opened my mail knowing I was accepted into the desired college for my career.
- One day my mom checked the mail and saw one with my name on it. So she called me down and said here this is for you. She didn't know what it was. I opened it to find out I have been accepted into Ivy Tech Community College and its dual credit program. I am looking forward to my HVAC career.

- I had to leave my home country. I am not born here like you are, Savian. Eritrea was a dangerous place.

- Leaving Iran is for the better of us Marji. Vienna, Austria is where we will go. It is a country in Europe.
- Wow I knew you were Eritrean, but not the war part.
- So that was the story of us leaving Iran due to it being dangerous.
- This is significant because in my life, my mom was born in Africa. I was born in America. My mom was born specifically in a country called Eritrea, but the country was at war with Ethiopia for independence. My mom had to leave Eritrea and come to the United States for safety.
- Marji was told by her parents that leaving Iran was for the greater good. Their new home will be Austria, a tranquil country in Europe. It is significant to my life because my mom also had to escape from war from her home country Eritrea.
