  • Well I have been drinking 3 cans of soda per day and I eat 2 slices of pizza for every meal.
  • Hi I am Ben. This is my friend Sarah. I have been having trouble with my diet so I am coming to her.
  • Hi Ben. My first question is what are you eating on a daily basis?
  • Hmmmmmm. What is that?
  • Wow! Let me tell you about the 6 essential nutrients for your body.
  • Let me tell you.
  • Ohhhh. So if I don't get enough carbohydrates than my brain won't like it? And start to go crazy?!?!?!
  • The 1st nutrient is Carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the things that the Brain wants in your body.
  • Yep!
  • Protein sounds like it will get me strong! (flexes muscles)
  • The second nutrient is Protein. Protein is the things that are responsible for building and repairing your body tissues.
  • Haha! You are right.
  • So if I don't get enough vitamins then my bones will fall apart and break?
  • The third nutrient is Vitamins. Vitamins are the things that provide structure to your blood vessels, bones and ligaments.
  • Yep! You got it!
  • So if I don't get enough Minerals then my fluid volume will go crazy!?!?!?!?
  • The fourth nutrient is Minerals. Minerals help maintain fluid volume outside of your cells.
  • Yeah. It would be bad That's why you need to balance your diet.
