Hi I'm Rosa Parks and I'm currently a 42 year old African American woman. The date is December 1st, 1955, and I'm living in racist times.
Hi, my name is Frankie, and I'm going to tell you the story of Rosa Parks and how she helped start the Civil Rights Movement.
On a normal day during the 1950's, all the white people would sit up towards the front of the bus, and the African American people would sit in the back of the bus.
One day when there was no white people taking up seats in the front of the bus, Rosa Parks sat in one of them.
The law stated that seats in the front of buses were reserved for white citizens, and the seats behind them for Black citizens. However, it was only by custom that bus drivers had the authority to ask a Black person to give up a seat for a white rider.

This will be the last time you arrest someone for something like this
there was no seats in the front for a white man because they were being taken by 4 African Americans including Parks. The bus driver told them to move to the back, 3 of them listened but Parks did not.
Your under arrest!!!
The bus driver called the cops on Rosa and she got arrested. This incident had changed the Civil Rights Movement in a very positive way.
