My parents did not believe it was the best for me because I'm a girl, a girl can't professionally succeed in a sport
I was training everyday for 10 years. Got invited to play in different countries, leagues, academies, and universities proving myself that I only needed to believe in myself. I passed on many opportunities because of my parent's disagreement into making this a career for me, my only hope was to play at a high division university.

When I was 17 I had an ACL injury right before I played a national game where I was going to meet University coaches all around the country, it ruined my chance of going to college out of state or going to college on a scholarship. After surgery I was determined to still play in college so I committed to heal my injury within 6 months.

I successfully healed within 6 months, yet right when it was time to go back to normal training I decided to take a chance to figure out more about myself instead of conforming myself to commands about the type of player/person I should be for others. I started to experience soccer differently which made me realize I didn't know much about myself except how much I dedicated my life to soccer. Till this day I have a love/hate relationship with my injury experience, but I'm blessed that I chose to do what's best for myself.
