So.... how may this be flawed?
I think where Persepolis fails to capture me as a reader is when the book tries to convey stronger emotional devices. I think the death of Anoush and tragedies that Marjane faces throughout war at some points is not interpreted to its fullest as it can be overly reliant of illustrative elements rather than general dialogue. This is seen mainly after the tragedy of the Baba-Levys. In this specific instance there isn't any emotional depth that Marjane really undermines, rather its more short and with minimal attention to the weight it carries in relation to the rest of the story

Given this is my second time reading the book I have formulated a stronger opinion about the ideas presented in Persepolis. To preface anything further I believe the book was a 5.2/10. Due to this opinion the extremist Dr.Murray regime in Iran has locked me up.

Sir you must explain to us why you like Persepolis first!
Your honor,Persepolis incases lots of emotional plots and in my opinion Marjane gets her points across very well. Where Persepolis goes right is when Marjane illustrates her emotions especially when she creates frames of reference where she talks to god.
