The family is having their passover feast when at the end it was Hannah's turn to open the door to Elijah and when she opened it she was in the past. And her name became chaya abramowicz.
After being abducted by the Nazi's they are forced to get on trains and travel with terrible conditions and 3 days later got to the concentration camp.
Hannah and the women and children in her family were processed and got to their barracks looking for food. Chaya got tattooed and became J197241, and learned that chaya meant life and she must live.
In the Concentration Camp some of the men tried to escape including Shmuel, Chaya's Uncle. Yitzchak the butcher was able to escape but the prisoners who tried to escape was plan to be excuted and one of the caught prisoners was Shmuel.
When Rivka was suppose to be killed in the gas oven, Chaya took her place to die while Rivka ran to survive. Luckily there was a new guard who doesn't know their faces so there was hope for Rivka afterall.
Hannah comes back to her present life and during dinner she noticed aunt Eva's prisoner Tattoo. Aunt Eva told her she was originally known as Rivka the person that hannah saved during WW2 as Chaya. Gitl and Yitzchak also escaped and opened a charity group for prisoners of the Holocaust known as CHAYA..
