Storyboard Tekst

  • Ok class for today's lesson we are going to determine the appropriate tool when the variance is know, variance is unknwon, and when central limit theorem is used.
  • Wow! this topic is interesting.
  • Im very interested with today's lesson.
  • I know right!
  • When the population variances are known, the difference of the means has a normal distribution. The variance of the difference is the sum of the variances divided by the sample sizes.
  • VARIANCE IS KNOWN
  • What is a t-test?A t-test is a type of inferential statistics used to determine if there is a significant difference between the means of two groups, which may be related in certain features.
  • On the other hand, when the Population Variance is Unknown, the appropriate test statistic to used is t-test.
  • REMEMBER:T-test is the appropriate tool to used when:The population standard deviation is unknwon .The sample standard deviation (s) is kown. The population is normal or nearly normally distributed. The sample size is less than 30 (n< 30 ).
  • Lastly, when the central limit theorem (CLT) is used, the appropriate test statistic is using z-test by replacing population standard deviation by sample standard deviation (s) in the formula.
  • So, that is all for our lesson today. And, see you all on our next meeting. Goodbye class!.
