- I wonder what the teachers are going to think about this.
- I'm sorry the Principal has been eyeballing us since third period
- Wear your armband Joe!!
- Why couldn't joe come over? His mom didn't let him and yesterday at school e was so worried about something.
- I think it was because of us trying to show our support for the war with our armbands.
- Good Morning everyone. Before school starts I want to warm everyone that if you are wearing an armband for any reason you will be asked to take it off and if you don't you will be suspended.
- This is a violation of our rights. Especially the first! Wait till our family hears about this one!
- Next day in school.
- Two days later after telling family....
- I can't believe she took it to court!! They are having a trial about it right now and she is texting me saying they are winning it so far against the school!!!!
- Thank God because I can't take it anymore getting yelled at by the principal.
- WE WON THE TRIAL!! The judges said that they had to protect our rights as kids because what we did was valid. We were only expressing our support for the truce in the war. The school violated our first amendment by trying to endanger our rights just because we are supporting people in the war! Thanks to knowing our amendments we now have all of our rights as a person in schools now too!!! Hooray for Amendments. This was the court case of Tinker v Des Moines. A trial about having rights in school just as we do out of it.
