- Excuse me darling, do you remember your promise, that you will grant me a wish?
- Have Bjorn be exiled in the forest and let Ivar take the throne
- Yes I remember
- Yes Father
- Bjorn, I command you to be exiled into the forest for 14 years.
- In the kingdom of Norway, there was a King named Ragnar Lothbrok. He had a wife called Lagertha and three sons. Now that Ragnar is elderly, he made plans to hand over the throne to his eldest son Bjorn. But queen Lagertha didn't want that, she wanted there youngest son Ivar instead.
- I'll go with you dear
- I shall accompany the two of you
- Remembering the kings promise to her long before, Queen Lagertha went to King Ragnar.
- King Ragnar, though hurt, still decided to grant Queen Lagertha's wish.
- Bjorn, I am not worthy of the throne, please go back and take what was rightfully yours.
- Thankyou Ivar, but I cannot go against our Fathers command, I must obey him.
- Then I shall take your shoes with me and and put them on on the feet of the throne. Everyday I shall put my offerings to them as a sign of my respect to you, and when the 14 years of banishment are done. I'll gladly give the throne back to you.
- Torvi, Bjorn's wife heard the news of her husband's banishment from the kingdom. She immediately went to Bjorn and convinced him to let her accompany him. Sigurd, devoted to his brother, decided to go with them aswell.
- Torvi, Bjorn and Sigurd went on their way into the forest.
- Ivar, a good brother to Bjorn, immediately went to the forest to convince Bjorn to go back and take the throne upon knowing what their mother had done.
