- Hi! My name is Sky, and I am sediment. I became sediment due to the weathering and eroding of rocks. The water weathered me down. I will soon become a sedimentary rock and then another rock form through the rock cycle, a process that changes a rock form into another rock form. Come along with me on my journey through the rock cycle!
- Now I am a sedimentary rock! I became a sedimentary rock due to compaction and cementation of the sediment.
- The wind blew me into a deep hole below the earth's surface. I went through extreme heat and pressure underground. This was very hot, by the way! This process formed me into a metamorphic rock!
- I am melting! It is very hot! I will soon become an igneous rock.
- I am an igneous rock now! I had to melt into lava and then cool underground to become an igneous rock.
- I have returned to my former state of being sediment through weathering. I will soon become a sedimentary rock again and then change into another rock form through the rock cycle. Thank you for coming along with me on my journey through the rock cycle!
