- jack: hi Youssef want to go get the new iPhone that came out yesterday I've been waiting for so long to get it
- Youssef: I would love to come with you but my parents wont let me because they showed me an article that says the new iPhone can explode if you over charge it
- jack: really! i think i wont get it after all i need to tell all my parents and friends about it
- Kim: hey Youssef before spreading rumors about the new iPhone you need to check your source and where it is posted. Do you remember where this information is posted ?
- Youssef:my mom was scrolling through Facebook and this article came up on her feed and she clicked it, but it looks like a real source when I first saw it
- mkim :Youssef, first it’s important to look at where the information is posted and when is it posted and who is the author of the article
- youssef:can you please tell me on how I can check my sources.
- kim: of course, so first there is a trick where you copy the website, then you deleted (URL) then add Wikipedia then you can see of the source is true or false
- Youssef: that seems hard is there any other thing I can use to check my source
- Kim: there is also on other verification skill that you can use. There is the credibility check. You need the check the date of the source when was it published. You also need to check who wrote the source
