Stepmother was terribly angry to discover that Yeh-Shen had kept a secret from her. She disguised herself as Yeh-shen, slipped on the pond but he stepmother, having hidden a dagger in her sleeve, stabbed the fish, wrappedit in her garments, and took it home to cook for dinner.
I would never let someone as dirty as Yeh-Shen come to the festival!

That girl looked a lot like Yeh-Shen, but I knew that Yeh-Shen couldn't look as beautiful as her. Even though she looked prettier than Yeh-Shen, I was still suspicious. Even the king seemed to be in love with her!

The king had found out that the golden shoe was Yeh-Shen's and now she's getting married to the king and we're abot to get squashed! I wish we would have been nicer to her; We could have lived in a palace!
