  • Hey guys, remember that project we have about electromagnetic waves? I'm struggling to understand how all these scientists fit together."
  • "I think it started with Hans Christian Oersted. He found that electricity and magnetism are connected.
  • Right! He showed that an electric current creates a magnetic field. That was a big deal.

  • André-Marie Ampère. He basically made the whole thing into a mathematical equation.
  • "So, after Oersted, who came along?"
  • "Exactly. He even came up with Ampère's Law, which is still used today."
  • Wow, that's impressive. So, he figured out how to calculate the strength of magnetic fields based on the current?

  • "Okay, I get it. But how did we get from magnetic fields to radio waves?"

  • "He showed that if you change a magnetic field, it can create an electric current. That's how generators and motors work!"
