  • How Freud Sees Me
  • How Adler Sees Me
  • I'm the oldest child
  • How Horney Sees Me
  • I'm glad to have my space!
  • The Ego is a person's conscious control of their personality. The Ego balances out the Id and Superego by looking at both desire and reality. Freud would see me as the ego because the ego is the self, and all people make conscious decisions using the self. Freud would say that I use my ego to make the conscious decision to leave my house at a good time so I am able to get to school in time for class.
  • How Jung Sees Me
  • I don't like the dark, there may be a monster under the bed!
  • Adler believes that a child's birth order can influence their personality. While this can vary depending on gender and sequence of the children, I believe Adler would see me as an oldest child because he classifies eldest children as reliable, organized, conscientious, natural leaders, etc. All of which I believe I display.
  • How Costa & McCrae See Me
  • Do you want to go shopping after school?
  • Sure! I just go with the flow.
  • Karen Horney explained that people build their personalities based on social interaction and how they perceive their social interactions. I believe Horney would classify me as someone who withdrawals from others because I am an introvert, and while I do like being around friends, I also enjoy personal time and space.
  • How Bandura Sees Me
  • I should study more
  • Carl Jung explained that there is a collective unconscious, which is a common bank of images or symbols that all cultures share. I believe Jung would see me in this because as a child I had a very active imagination and was also afraid of the dark. These are traits that can be observed in children of all cultures and backgrounds.
  • Costa and McCrae explained that there were 5 things that make up personality and they were called the "Big 5." I think they would see me as mostly the openness and agreeableness. I am very flexible and open to variety, and I believe that I am a trusting and friendly person
  • Bandura explained that there were two types of locus's of control, internal and external. He would describe me as having an internal locus of control because I take responsibility for my actions and their consequences. For example, if I do bad on a test, I know that I should study more rather than blaming a teacher
