- Montag were to meet Clarisse, and she asks many questions including a notable one, "Are you happy?¨ (Bradbury 10). Resulting in Montag thinking about the question and himself.
- We meet Mildred in her room, trying to overdose on pills to commit suicide, this instantly gotten him to react, calling in medical team that does their job in reviving Mildred without much care or emotion. However, after the events, Montag refers Mildred as not his wife, feeling a noticeable dislikeness to each other.
- a reported to a scene, where an old woman was reported to have books. Instead of the firemen having to burn her house, she commited suicide and also burned her own books. This resulted Montag to think about the importance of books, so he took a book to read on his own.
- Montag meets with Faber, an old man who is now retried for professor teaching, he was a person who was mainly into books. Similar to Beatty. He meets Montag after first being suspicious, and creates a plan with him to copy books and plant them in fellow fireman's households.
- During Montag's attempt in trying to sabotage in placing books, a report of a house with books, resulting Montag to sending him with Beatty to the house, to only be lead up to Montag's house, the reason was that Mildred ratted out Montag and Montag had to burn his house personally. However he went onto a fight with Beatty, which resulted Beatty's Death.
- The ending of the story results the entire city being blown up, due to war complications, the majority of the city was destroyed, with the finale ending resulting in a form of symbolism that the old grows a new into the world.
