- The Most dangerous game starts with two men on a boat discussing their opinions on hunting while on a trip to hunt bigger game when late into the night one of them, Rainsford, hears a distance gunshot. Standing on the railing of the ship trying to figure out exactly where it came from he gets swept off the boat and forced to swim against a harsh sea to survive. Landing on Shipwreck Island
- After venturing around the island he came across a large house. He knocked on the door only to be greeted with a large giant pointing a gun to his heart. 'Don't be alarmed,' said Rainsford, with a smile which he hoped was disarming. 'I'm no robber. I fell off yacht. My name is Sanger Rainsford of New York City.'. Eventually a man who went by General Zaroff allowed Rainsford into his house, and attempted to convince him to hunt humans with him. When Rainsford denied his request, General Zaroff said,
- The choice rests entirely with you. But may I not venture to suggest that you will find my idea of sport morediverting than Ivan's?
- The game had begun. On day one, Rainsford tried to trick Zaroff by creating a seemingly endless labyrinth of foot trails, Hoping that he'll be lost trying to figure out where it began and ended. To his surprise, Zaroff managed to find him, but instead of killing him then and there, He simply blew a smoke ring to the tree he was hiding in, and walked away.
- One day two, he had a different plan. Going over to the swamps he dug a deep hole into the mud and lined the bottom with spikes. Covering his trap with leaves he hid in the thicket and waited until he heard this trap spring. Overjoyed, he popped out of his hiding spot only to see Zaroff standing alive and well by the trap.
- On the final day, Zaroff sent him, his dogs, and Ivan all out for Rainford. Rainsford had to think quick, He quickly prepared a trap using his knife stuck in a tree as bait and ran, the trap sprung, killing Ivan, but Zaroff and his hounds were still on his tail. He ran until there was no longer ground in front of him and with no other option, He jumped and fell into the deep blue ocean.
- Zaroff was a bit annoyed Rainsford got away, but took the loss of his game, Ivan and his best hound well, Pondering on replacements he walked to his room and found a soaked Rainsford wielding a Pistol, wanting to end this here and now. Zaroff said One of us is to furnish a repast for the hounds. The other will sleep in this very excellent bed. On guard, Rainsford. After the dust settled. Rainsford laid in bed and said...
