Storyboard Tekst

  • Kate finds what looks to be steroids in the coaches medical cabinet
  • What's with these unmarked medicine bottles that the coach has?
  • A guy named Mike dies at a backyard party and Kate does her best to save him
  • There's no pulse. He's dead. Someone call 911
  • What's up with Mike?
  • Mike's finger breaks off and Kate contemplates the possibility of zombiism
  • What the??
  • "When I was putting the Epi in the cabinet, I noticed an unfamiliar rack of medication vials on the top shelf. The labels were blank, which instantly set off my geek-alarm " (Harris 3)
  • Kate tries to make an antidote for the virus (zombiism) that's spreading around the football team
  • "It was Mike. His entire body was bent backward in an unnatural arc; his hands were curled into stiff and unmoving claws. His eyes bulged from their sockets. His face was a rictus mask, his mouth a frozen leering grin. He was dead" (Harris 29).
  • Kate starts having seizures often and needs to go to the nurse
  • "His middle finger broke off in my palm like a dry twig" (Harris 66). "He had no idea what he was dealing with. I didn't either, but standing there in the hallway with a severed finger at my feet, I couldn't help but think that the virus was creating . . . zombies"(Harris 67).
  • Kate uses the antidote to stop the zombie outbreak before it becomes a pandemic
  • "After a minute or so, I realized that the most important thing was to isolate the virus or bacteria. It didn't really matter if coach thought he was shooting the players up with a steroid, B12, or lighter fluid. The most pressing danger to my players was the virus. All I needed to do was prove it existed, then I could go to the authorities " (Harris 82)
  • ""Kate", she said, frowning. "I haven't seen you here in a while." " I had a seizure in Mrs. Mihalovic's class. I'm not feeling so good now" (Harris 136).
  • "There were so many of them. The constant press of their bodies knocked me to the sludgy ground. they tore into my arms and legs; I batted their searching teeth away from my face again and again. The pain registered dimly, as did the sickening rip as my flesh separated from my body. But it was like I was in a trance, a never- ending cycle of pop-the-cap-off, stab-the-needle-in, press-the-plunger, withdraw-and-toss-aside" (Harris 193).
