YOOHOO! Children mama is home
MAMA YOU'RE BACK , WE MISSED YOU !
SHH , One by one tell me everything . I go away for a while and you children have made a mess of the place .
Mrs.Goldfinch was travelling all the way from the Amazon where she went in search of food for her little ones.
Here take your candied worms, I picked it up from the blossom gardens.
As usual no treats for me , hmph!
She reached the Laburnum tree , and could see it's beautiful yellow flowers shone brightly from the sky . More than anybody else Labby ( the laburnum tree) was excited to have her back.
Mama don't leave us
Children I have to leave , take good care of yourselves as well as Labby. I love you, and have full faith in you .
The baby goldfinches were smothering their mother with hugs and kisses .They couldn't wait to tell their mother all that had happend while she was away . The tree had become chaotic, just the way Labby liked it.
Mama Goldfinch come back soon .
Mrs. Goldfinch gave her children some yummy treats she had brought for them , and they all spent the afternoon snuggling and gossiping away making loud chirp noises
Soon, it became evening and Mrs.Goldfinch turned to leave home with a heavy heart.
The day was over , and Labby again felt deserted,the only sound heard was that of the wind whistling. Everything went back to being silent and still.
