Chapater 12. Sam is changing from a Rock to a River
Sam's pivotal moment during the rioting is when "{he} picked up a brick from the sidewalk and flung it through the store window" (Magoon 97).
Sam is changed.
Sam is still on Fathers side, and is showing this when he tells Stick "You always have a choice.' Father's words, coming out of my mouth" (Magoon 115). Sam is still a part of the non-violent side when Sam was saying "My hands trembled as I withdrew the gun" (Magoon 139). Sam is still Father good little boy.
When Stick is getting chocked at Fathers Peaceful Protest, Sam is brave enough to push through the thick crowds, with the gun in tucked into his pants he is, "Breathing hard. I lifted the gun from the pavement, stood up, and pointed it at the man choking Stick" (Magoon 188).
Sam and Father get into an argument about what happened at the peacful protest, and he starts to drift twards things Stick would do, "'I guess not,' I said, knowing it would hurt him" (Magoon 226).
