  • Glide: 1
  • So, Christian, I’ve been thinking a lot about the Abrahamic religions lately. We’re both part of this huge tradition, but it’s fascinating how we’re also so different in some ways.
  • Yeah, it’s interesting! Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all share the story of Abraham, but each of us interprets things in our own way. You follow Christianity, right?
  • Glide: 2
  • Well, all three religions trace their roots back to Abraham. For Muslims, Abraham is a prophet who submitted completely to God's will. In Islam, we believe he’s the ancestor of Muhammad, who’s the last and final prophet.
  • Yes! I believe Jesus is the Son of God. But I’ve always wondered how Islam and Judaism fit into all of this since we share so much history.
  • Glide: 3
  • Yeah, the biggest difference is that in Islam, Jesus (Isa) is considered a prophet, not the Son of God. We believe in the oneness of God—Tawhid—and reject the Trinity. So, Jesus is a revered figure, but not divine.
  • That’s cool! In Christianity, Abraham is seen as the model of faith, and we trace Jesus’ lineage back to him through Isaac. We believe that Jesus is God incarnate, though, which is a big difference from Islam.
  • Ah, I see! So for Christians, Jesus is central to salvation, but for Muslims, it’s about following the teachings of Muhammad, who received the Qur’an from God.
