Three kids went over a wall they weren't supposed to. Only one kid returned. He had blood all over him. They never found the two kids and the case went cold. 
Climax
Over 20 years later the boy who they found became a detective. A little girl got murdered and the cold case and the new case were similar. He tried to compare the two cases.
Falling Action
They investigated everyone. They talked to the family and found the family strange. They think the dad might have murdered the little girl. They also find out the dad hung around the spot where the two kids went missing 20 years ago and they think he might be connected.
Resolution 
They get hard evidence that the girls' dad. They take it to their head boss. The head boss looks at it but doesn't make an arrest because he finds something off. They start investigating the rest of the family.
They find out that the older sister of the dead girl has a boyfriend. They find out that she and her boyfriend were out where the little girl was murdered. They also found out her sister lied about stuff they told them. The sisters' boyfriend murdered the little girl and she knew about it. 
They arrest the two suspects and have a trial. They got justice for the little girl. The detective never finds out what happened to his friends and is still investigating.
