The police receive a call from a neighbor reporting 10-year-old Lisa is home alone. The police arrive at the home with Jill, a placement worker.
Jill has transported Lisa to her office. They will use Jill's computer to pull up the journey to the best-fit application. The police are unable to locate parent(s) to assist Lisa with choosing the best fit placement.
After Jill completes an assessment of Lisa's needs she pulls up three placement options on the application that are potential best fit placements for Lisa.
Jill used the application to present three potential mentors' bios. After viewing the bios Lisa chose the mentor that she felt was the best fit for her.
Then Lisa watches a video bio about all three potential caretakers. After touring the homes and watching the bios Lisa makes a decision. Jill transports Lisa to the foster home and drops her off.
Lisa had a visit with her mentor, Stacey, within 48 hours of placement at the foster home. They went on an outing and got to know one another better playing a game they both enjoy.
