KIng Charles I was king of Great Britain and Ireland from 1625 to 1649. He was beheaded on Jan 30 1649 because he was convicted of treason. Charles I view on Divine Right was the right to rule was based on the law of God. King CHarles II ruled after Charles I was beheaded.
Louis XVI was the last bourbon king of france. Marie Antoinette was married to Louis XVI when she was just 15 years old. Maximilien Robespierre encouraged the execution. Napoleon Bonaparte was a military leader and emperor who conquered much of Europe. Louis was executed because he was convicted of conspiracy with foreign powers and sentenced to death. Marie Antoinette was executed because she was convicted of treason. Maximilien Robespierre was executed because of the excesses of the "Region of Terror" and acting in a dictatorial way. Napoleon was killed by stomach cancer.
