Costa and McCrae believe in the Big Five Trait theory. There are five traits in this theory: openness, conscientious, extraversion, agreeable, and neuroticism. According to their theory, they would put me into the extraversion trait. Extraversion is whenever someone is cheerful and optimistic. These traits remain stable throughout life and work across all cultures.

Alfred Adler supports the birth order theory. He believes that the order a child is born in a family influences their personality. The birth order theory focuses on the fight against feeling inferior. As a middle child, Adler would see me as social and a peacemaker.

Albert Bandura believes in the social cognitive theory of self-serving bias. Self-serving bias is whenever someone takes credit for their success but they blame others on their failures. If I were to lose, Bandura self-serving theory would suggest that I would blame my coach.

Eysenck's trait theory suggests extraversion vs. introversion and stability vs. instability. Extraverts get energies from the outer world (friends) , whereas introverts get energies from the inner world (hobby). Stability refers to being well-adjusted, whereas instability refers to being on edge. Eysenck would place me in extraversion and stability. In the visual I receive energy from the outer world and I am well adjusted.
Rogers supports humanistic personality theories. He believes that personality is driven by our self-motivated desires to change and improve. In the visual, Rogers would see me as envisioning my ideal self. He suggest actualizing tendency which is developing our potential to its fullest.
Freud's psychoanalytic theory has three parts: Id, Superego, and Ego. The id is our unconscious desires and needs. The superego is our conscious moral principle. The ego is our reality principle and controller. In the visual, my unconscious desire (id) is food, my moral principle (superego) is not wanting to cut the line, and my reality principle (ego) is realizing I will have to wait.
