  • Old people and even infants began disappearing, triggering widespread fear and a rapid government crackdown on everyone who had undergone the digestive‑system transplant. Within three days, the army rounded up all operated individuals, ignoring innocence or guilt and silencing protests like those from Le Cochon Libre. The raids led to chaotic scenes—neighbors accusing each other, families being torn apart, and people being publicly stripped or even executed while trying to flee. Those captured were sent to hastily established internment camps in remote towns across the country.
