- The Glade is a bad place but you'll get used to it
- Where am I?!

- A boy was in an elevator only knowing his name - Thomas. He was in a courtyard with people staring at him. They were calling him weird names, until two of them, Alby and Newt calmed him down. Thomas was told to get used to it but they heard a scream

- THE MAZE
- We are trapped in a maze. Everymorning runners go in and try to solve the maze but come at night so grievers (monsters) don't sting them.
- I want to be a runner!
- The scream earlier was Ben - he is going through the healing process of getting stung by a griever called The Changing. Gally was someone who'd gone through it and claims he saw Thomas before. Things called beetle blades are everywhere to spy on them for the creators of The Glade.

- IT IS A GIRL??
- BUT THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE???
- Usually, every month a new person comes in The Box, the elevator with some supplies. But, it came a day later with a girl in a coma and it was only boys. She came with a note saying, SHE IS THE LAST ONE . Thomas felt a weird connection with her.
