- The start of James Town is when Virginia Company wanted to establish settlements in North America. The reason why they wanted to establish settlements in North America is because. The failure at Roanoke discouraged the English from settling in North America. But the idea came back again in 1606. And at the time England had a new king named James l. And he wanted to renew Englands quest for a colony in North America. Then several merchants pressed him for a charter ( A document that granted him the right to form a colony ).
- After time they have not found any gold. But later on they relized that they wernt the only ones of the land that they have landed on. There was a colonie of 13,000 Indians on the island. And it started out as a small attack by the river while the Colonists were searching for gold. They fired there guns to scare them away.
- When the Collonist first arrived on this land. They were going to start a new town called James Town. And were going to set out and look for gold. They were going to use the gold so that there would be a future for James Town. And after time looking for gold. They had found none and kept on trying but still there was no luck.
- Although the Colonist decided to build a big fort. And by cutting down many trees they have built one to keep evreyone safe and secure from the Indians. And they also had a big weapond that could also keep them safe. It was called the Cannon. But also the guns they had. ( With a thread by their guns being lit their guns could go off instantly ).
