- Characters Rowan Peirce: 13 year old boy, quiet and protective older brotherLiam Peirce: 10 year old boy, energetic and curious little brother
- Setting: At Camp Black Pine, around the fire in the dense forest. Time: Around 10 pm on the first night of camp
- Scene 1: Rowan and Liam arrive at Camp Black Pine, excited but nervous. At the welcome campfire that night, a counselor tells a scary story about an old monster that lives in the woods. While the others laugh it off, Rowan notices strange shadows beyond the tree line and an uneasy feeling settles in.

- Characters: Rowan Pierce,Liam Pierce,Camp counselor: clueless and lazy
- Setting: Cabin 4 at Camp Black Pine, then the surrounding woods. Time: Around 2:00 AM, the same day Rowan and Liam arrive.
- Scene 2: Rowan wakes up in the middle of the night to an eerie silence. He realizes Liam's bed is empty. Rowan checks nearby but Liam is nowhere to be found. He alerts the counselor, who brushes it off at first, he says that campers wander all the time. But Rowan feels something is off, Outside, he spots small footprints leading into the woods and a claw mark on the tree.

- setting: The dense spooky forest where he thinks Liam is time: Around 7 pm on the second night at camp
- Scene 3: Rowan sneaks away from the camp while everyone else is at dinner. He follows the footprints he saw, leading him into a part of the forest that campers are told to avoid. As he walks deeper into the forest, he finds weird symbols carved into the trees and shredded fabric that match Liam’s pajama top. He hears a whisper, his name is carried in the wind. He sees a figure lurking in the shadows.
