Americans are here to celebrate today because today was declared as united nations day. All of the schools and shops were closed so everyone could watch the parade. American troops held their bayonets and riffles. A very happy day! They watched a whole celebration while Silvey was with her family.

Silvey was babysitting two children, a girl called Mary and a baby called Dougie. Suddenly a burglar came from out of the dark stealing money while Silvey and the kids hid under the bed in the bedroom. Silvey and the other two children were very scared. Later Silvey had to go with her Ba to the Central police station to see if any of the men that were brought in were the burglar. Constable Sims took her to a far corrugated fence. 12 men were in a line but Silvey knew that the burglar had a ring on his little finger. One of the men had a tattoo that looked like a ring on his finger and Silvey got the burglar arrested.
